This Forum looks interesting!
I'm looking forward to participating in this forum with other folks and artists who find Sterling Edwards as interesting and inspirational as I do. I've been an artist most of my life, but just recently (2006), I really became interested in watercolor.....then along came Sterling and I realized his style was like mine. I like to get in and out of a painting quickly. Most of my watercolors only take about an hour or so, to complete and that fits my style. Sterling doesn't painstakingly dwell on minute details, but allows his brush to move loosely and the viewers eye to interpret, which I find very exciting. Sterling has shown me so much in his instructional DVD's and I encourage all of you to purchase a few which will bring new life to your watercolor paintings. Gone are the days when an artist would spend countless hours and money traveling to their mentors workshops. Now we have instructional DVD's that can bring our mentors right into our own studios.
I haven't had the pleasure to attend one of Edwards workshops, but you can bet it's high on my list. Thank you Sterling for sharing your talent and encouraging your students to reach for the sky!
